Red Bean Park Indoor Playground

Monday, May 30, 2016

Last week during our off-day, we brought our kids to a new indoor playground that we've just discovered! The Red Bean Park is located at 100AM mall, and it has an Angry Bird themed play area.

Red Bean Park started its operations on 1 May 2016, so it was less than a month old when we visited. Everything was spanking clean and new, and the slides were very slippery, much to Dylan and Alexis' delight.

There were two ball pools in the area, this smaller one for younger toddlers like Alexis, while the bigger one is for older children from 4 years old and up.

Dylan spent a good part of our visit there going on the slide over and over again lol.

This is the toddler play area. As compared to playgrounds like Hokey Pokey (when it was in Millenia Walk), this one certainly paled in comparison as they didn't have as many toys. However, I thought both Alexis and Dylan had a great time nevertheless and they were kept busy for a long time.

There were a lot of these little rides available throughout the playground and I thought it was really fun! Alexis loved it a lot and spent a lot of time in these little cars.

A mini trampoline that exhausted Dylan's energy!
All in all, I think this is an intimate indoor playground that is great to visit during off-peak timings. The kids have enough space to roam about without me worrying about their safety, and the small area allows us to supervise them easily.

That being said, I don't think I will visit during peak hours because I feel that there won't be sufficient space to accommodate more than 20 or 30 kids. By then, I think it will be difficult for younger children like Alexis to play safely... given my experience with older kids in other indoor playgrounds.

Do note that there are also no diaper changing room for the younger ones. Even in the main building itself, we had trouble finding a place to change K.

What I thought was interesting was instead of having a cafe like Polliwogs, Red Bean Park has a separate area where waiting parents could do manicures and massages! I would certainly need that man.

Another interesting concept they have is that they have got kids' yoga and music classes as well during the weekends. I think the playground would have been a huuuuge motivational factor for the kids to go attend their classes!

Charges

Weekdays
Kids below 2: $10
Kids above 2: $20

Weekends
Kids below 2: $13
Kids above 2: $25

We were quite lucky to have scored the tickets from Groupon at 50% off, so we only paid $5 for Alexis and $10 for Dylan for unlimited play. We spent about 2.5 hours there before leaving for lunch. We would probably be back again if we can get another deal like this, otherwise for Dylan to pay $20 for a small play area, I would think it is a little expensive.

Afterall, Polliwogs is way bigger and it costs the same to visit too.

  6. Looks like a nice, clean playground for toddlers and preschoolers. It does look pretty small but sometimes I prefer that than a big playground where older kids can get a bit rough.
