#3's Maternity ShootFriday, April 29, 2016
I cannot believe this is my third maternity shoot already! This maternity shoot is a really memorable one because I actually miscalculated my gestation period, so I booked our photoshoot on my 39th week, thinking that it was my 37th!
And immediately the next day after our shoot, I went into labour and gave birth to K. What are the odds right? I could have gone into labour the day before or on the day itself but thankfully, it was the next day. *phew!*
After trying out different styles of shoot for Dylan and Alexis, I decided that simple is still the way to go for our family, so we went back to a clean and neat studio shoot that took us less than 2 hours to complete.

Our family had the opportunity to work with Zul from Studio @ Horizon this time in his very intimate and cosy studio. When it comes to photoshoot, I really like to have them in the comfort of a studio, where it is air-conditioned, has toilets and not only we are comfortable, our photographer is comfy too.
I have seen very nice pictures of outdoor shoots but having done a couple of them myself, the trouble of sitting/lying down on the ground and pretending to be very comfortable, constantly needing to touch up my make-up because of the sweltering heat, needing to look for a toilet for outfit changes etc., I would very much prefer staying indoors, thankyouverymuch.
Besides, I really love the clean white backgrounds studio shoots give!
This picture is a little overly edited (check out how white my teeth is!), but don't you think Nian looks so much more mature now as compared to 4 years ago? I like how age has made him even more attractive than before.
It was really hard when it came to the shoots incorporating D and A because they really couldn't sit still! This was Alexis trying to walk towards our photographer and Nian was trying to pose/smile and pull her back at the same time LOL.
And then we had to bribe the little girl with biscuits so that she would sit still to take a photo with me! This was the best photo that she wasn't all blur (because she was running everywhere!), you can see that biscuit in her mouth, can't you? Hehe
Black and white pictures have a certain "feel" about it... I love how this turns out given that I was technically going cock-eyed staring at my own shoulders!
And this is probably my most favourite photo in the shoot. Because love is what binds us together. :) Can't wait for K to grow older, then we can have a proper family photo shoot!
