Happy 7 Months, Alexis!Wednesday, March 25, 2015
You turned 7 months a fortnight ago! Ever since you stepped into our lives 7 months ago, our lives have become entirely different. It's amazing how a small being like you can make our hearts swell with so much love and pride and joy. :)
Do you know that you're so similar to your korkor, yet so different? When korkor was your age, he was basically flippin and turnin all over the place. While you only learned to flip very recently, do you know what is so awesome about you?
You spoke your first words at 6 months old! Do you know that you can say three words now? Your first word is "Mama", then "Papa" and now, you can say "bao bao". To be honest, you drive me absolutely gaga when you call me mama. Sometimes, when I hear you whine and want to ignore you, I realised I cannot, simply because of the "mama" coming out from your innocent, sweet little gummy mouth.
How can I look away when pretend I cannot hear you, when you look at me, kick excitedly and waving your hands about, asking me to carry you. Sigh, how am I supposed to discipline you next time?
Stay healthy and happy, little girl. And stay best friends with your korkor. He loves you so much, you are always the first one he will say 'good morning' to when he wakes up.
He showers you with kisses every single day. Sometimes he kisses your arms, sometimes your tummy, sometimes on your head and sometimes on your toes. He shares all his toys with you, even though you put them all into your mouth and he freaks out.
He waits patiently for his turn while Mummy fusses over you when you cry. He has never shown any jealousy towards you, only love and generosity. He takes care of you when Mummy is in the toilet, he sings you songs when you cry.
Love him as much as he loves you, because he will be the only big brother you'll ever have. And also because love is something that unites all of us. I hope all our children will be best friends with one another. :)
I can't wait to see where life takes you to. Always stay positive, because when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Life is as hard as you make it to be.
We love you.
