[Review] Biore Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash

Thursday, March 13, 2014

I think many of my readers will not be a stranger to instant foaming wash, having myself being a huge fan of it and have reviewed so many different types of foaming washes before, but today, I'd like to bring your attention to Biore's new Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash I got from TheSampleStore.

Why is it 2-in-1?

Biore has taken cleaning to another level by incorporating super-fine micro-bubbles (now 800% more) to not only clean our face thoroughly, it is also able to remove light make-up too.

Personally, I welcome such 2-in-1 foaming wash because as a mother, I really don't have the luxury of time anymore to complete my multi-steps skincare regime, so more often than not, I find myself cheating and skipping some steps and then worry that my face may not be thoroughly cleansed. Haih such is life!

Nowadays, I no longer slap on a huge chunk of cosmetics on my face. One reason's because I'm at home most of the time so it will be quite funny to be all dressed up with nowhere to go, haha! But on other days when the husband is not at work and we have some spare time to go out for some coffee and movie, I'll always go on a light make-up... just so that I look a little more energetic!

For a better illustration, here's a list of simple make-up I use on regular days, not including sunblock.

Let's put the make-up removing power to the test!

First impression:

  • The pump bottle is easy to use, even when I am only using my right hand to pump foam onto my left fist.
  • The foam is also very firm and not watery, which makes cleansing a breeze because you don't have to worry about having your facial foam dripping off your chin, which is very common for me!
  •  It has a gentle rose fragrance that is not overwhelming, but I think it is very relaxing especially after a hard day's work

After placing a pump on my fist (you will require about two to three pumps for your face), I rubbed it in a gentle, circular motion. No force was used at all, and there was absolutely no tugging or rubbing.

As you can see, all I did was to rub gently to spread the microbubbles to cover the cosmetics completely and then rinse off. There was no waiting time needed as well.

All traces of make-up removed, even my eyeliner, even though it is waterproof!

However, do note that the Biore Uru Uru is unable to remove more "stubborn" cosmetics, like mascara, for example. They tend to be quite "sticky" and very waterproof so I'd recommend you to use your usual eye make-up remover for that. ;)

This Biore Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash also contains 40% Beauty Essence, which is basically glycerin, Rosehip extract and Royal Jelly extract so you won't feel the tight feeling on your skin after washing.

All in all, I think the Biore Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash is a really nifty facial product for busy (or lazy, hehe) people like me because it is able to remove light make-up and cleanse the face at the same time so I finally don't have to use so many different products for different uses!

The quality of the foam is also very good and I can actually feel the foam rubbing against my cheeks especially, when I wash my face. It is able to deep cleanse rather well and I noticed that my forehead has lesser clogged pores these two weeks after I've used the Biore Uru Uru.

Biore Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash is only available in Watsons. Each bottle is 160ml, which equates to about 70 pumps, and is retailing at only $14.90.
