#CookForFamily with CP Foods

I'm sure many of you will be familiar with CP Foods whenever I mentioned them, isn't it? One thing's for sure, when we talk about CP, you will almost always think about their delicious shrimp wontons!

I love CP Foods because it has a wide variety of products and all of them are very easy to prepare. I'd say that it is a life-saver for kitchen hopeless like me. Just check out some of the CP products below! Which one are your favourites?

Personally, I like their signature CP Shrimp Wontons the most. A single whole shrimp wrapped in a thin wonton skin, I relish at how the smooth skin will fall apart at the first bite and reveals the crunchy shrimp. YUM!

Recently, I made CP Wontons and Carrots soup for dinner.

You see, ever since Nian and I moved out from my mother-in-law's and staying on our own, I must say that we haven't been having soup as part of our dinner for a long, long time.

I do like making soup from scratch, but the process of making delicious, flavourful soup takes a lot of time and given our schedules, we certainly don't have this luxury. :(

Using CP Wontons and its condiments to make soup is a really simple one-step method. Bring a bowl of water to boil and then throw in the condiments and wontons for exactly 3 minutes for best taste!

The cooking time will vary slightly if you also add in some other ingredients of your choice. For example, the soup that I made above took me about 15 minutes because the carrots will need a longer time to soften, but it adds on an additional sweetness to this instant soup.

Another dish I made was fried rice with CP Glazed Teriyaki. You will realize that most of the dishes I make at home are very fuss-free and easy to cook, simply because I don't usually don't have much time in between putting Dylan to bed and Nian coming back home from work.

Let's just say, I have about 30 minutes at best to whip up two dishes every day so it's a race against time!

For this dish, I merely used overnight cooked rice, chopped up carrots, long beans and garlic and fry them altogether, then beat up two eggs and pour them over, ensuring that they coat all the little grains of rice with their golden yellow goodness.

I really love the Glazed Teriyaki because it is made of whole chicken leg meat, it is juicy yet not fattening. Preparations are also very simple - you can choose to boil the entire bag (gotta remove this outer bag first) or microwave it until it is hot.

This dish can be completed in just 15 minutes flat. Easy and delicious!

It may seem that CP Foods are only good for Thai/Chinese dishes but sorry, you're very wrong. You can also make use of some of the CP products to whip up ang moh cuisines!

Here's an example:

A typical Spaghetti Marinara will require you to have mussels - washed and de-beard. It's almost an impossible dish for me to conquer on a weekday night because it takes a long time to prepare those mussels!

However, if you use these CP Mussels (new product), you can cook with it immediately. No more washing, no more debearding. Just open the packet, throw in some mussels and cook with pasta.

I'm confident that a steaming plate of Spaghetti Marinara will be ready in less than 30 minutes. :)
