[IMPROVED] Biore Marshmallow Facial Whip

Wednesday, June 05, 2013

Hi everyone! It is finally mid-week! I dunno why, but this week seems a little slow for me. You know, feeling a little sian about nothing. I'm putting my money on my lack of sleep because I think Dylan is teething his third tooth; he wakes up almost every hour at night feeling tired and annoyed and he is drooling so much again.

Tough to be a baby sometimes lol. They get fed and bathed and everything done for them but these poor little ones can't even express themselves when they are uncomfortable! I do hope his tooth will cut through soon to spare him this agony. I don't get much sleep these days myself... *zombified*

Anyway! Biore recently sent me their Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash! Ever since I started using their first release back in 2011, I've been hoping that they will have an improved version and voila, wish granted.

Apart from an improved formula for the Biore Facial Wash and Facial Wash Extra Moist, Biore has also added another facial whip to the family, specially for acne-plagued skin (in green).

Having tried the first generation's Biore Marshmallow Whip, I am really quite impressed that the second generation is significantly less watery and more dense and foamy.
The reason why there are people who prefer foamy facial wash as compared to the traditional self-foaming ones is that these pump-generated foam are more even in texture.

Take Biore's Marshmallow Facial Whip for example, it is so dense that each bubble is so tiny, it is smaller than our pores, so it is able to reach in and flush out all the grime and sebum thoroughly.

I found this illustration from qiuqiu's blog and what do people say about a picture speaking a thousand words? 800% more micro bubbles because Biore Marshmallow Facial Whip is 8 times denser than traditional hand-lathered foam.

Each bottle also contains different ingredients to help the particular skin best. For example, if you have acne-plagued skin, the green Pore Care Biore Marshmallow Facial Whip contains anti-bacterial ingredients to prevent inflammation. As for mine, it is filled with hydrating ingredients to soften the skin further. ^~^

Even though the product claims that 1 pump is sufficient, I find that it is a little insufficient to cover my entire face. Maybe I'm kiasu. Maybe cuz my face big lah. I used about two pumps each time and it works just nice for me.

I like how fine, yet 'strong' the foam is. I merely spread the foam across my face - no smearing, no rubbing yet. I was surprised that the foam stayed in shape instead of dissolving into my wet face.

The foam glides smoothly across my face effortlessly so there was no need to tug or pull. I applied some pressure while washing, but the product is really quite gentle and smooth throughout the entire wash, I didn't feel any tension on my skin.

All in all, the improved Biore Marshmallow Facial Whip is a really great improvement from the previous generation - the less watery, denser foam is something that I'm most impressed with, followed by the thorough cleansing of my face.

As mentioned, it is really very gentle - my skin doesn't feel taut and dry after wash, instead, it is rather bouncy to touch! It is definitely a facial wash that I will keep and use regularly.

If you're looking for something affordable and efficient, perhaps you'd like to try out the Biore Marshmallow Facial Whip. It's quite worth the money.

Ok! Thanks for reading, that's all for today. BYE!
