The Best Of Skincare Products 2012

Here it is again!

As compared to last year, this year's products are slightly different - you'd notice that I no longer go for just the smell of the products, but also its efficacy. I think this year's products also contains much more moisturizers and exfoliators as compared to last year.

There are many products that I used to love last year that I no longer use, because I've found even better ones, but there are also some that I'm still using religiously. Take a look below at my holy grail for 2012!

1. Laneige Water Sleeping Pack

The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack has already made it to one of my Top 10 last year and no surprises, it remained where it should be. I love how light the Sleeping Mask is - it gets absorbed almost immediately, giving my skin extra moisture boost in the morning.

Even though I no longer sleep in air-conditioned room, the moisture it gives me skin is still very, very noticeable.

2. Laneige Multiberry Yoghurt Peeling Gel

Since the Water Sleeping Pack has given me so much benefits, I've decided to try their Multiberry Yoghurt series as well. Ok, to be honest, the very first reason why I tried it.... was because of the pink packaging. #shallow

But I'm glad I bought it anyway because this is one of the two exfoliators I use very frequently this entire year!

Acting like a scrub, I like how gentle this peeling gel is. It not only smells good, my skin actually feels bouncy after washing wtf.

3. Multiberry Yoghurt Repair Pack

The Peeling Gel and the Repair Pack comes hand-in-hand. One exfoliates while the other, repairs (obviously). This repair pack is like a mask, apply, leave it on for a while, then wash it off with lukewarm water. This one soothes skin inflammation very well.

4. Bio-essence Face Lifting Cream

I'm into my third bottle this year already! After experiencing for myself the efficacy of this Face Lifting Cream during a blogger's event, I've been using this religiously every single day. The ATP in this face lifting cream actually firms up the skin, making it look tighter and therefore resulting in a sharper chin and smaller face.

I use this more for my neck. You know, just in case of double chin lol.

5. Enavose Probiotics Exfoliance Gommage

I actually got this Enavose product as a prize for answering a question correctly at Enavose's Sunbrella blogger's event lol. While I'm using a whole range of Enavose products, it is surprising that the Probiotics Exfoliance Gommage is my favourite of the lot.

This is the 2nd exfoliator I use, apart from Laneige's Multiberry Peeling Gel. When used on dry skin, this exfoliator is able to remove the dead skin cells from my face very effectively in a very short time, leaving the skin smooth and somewhat fairer!

I pair this up with their Black Tea Quench Mask whenever I use the exfoliator.

6. Tony Moly Tomatox

I got my first Tomatox with Shumin and Huiting's recommendation. I honestly don't know what they put into this little tomato bottle, but this whitening mask is definitely the most powerful I've used. Brightens and whitens like nobody's business!

7. My Beauty Diary Mask - Black Pearl

I've been using this mask for one year and counting. Still one of my favourite masks to use when I want to rest, relax and rejuvenate. I love how nice this mask smells too. In fact, I like the Beauty Diary series so much, I have almost all of their flavours, thanks to Mama Chan who hulled them back from Taiwan lol.

8. Watson's Bird Nest Mask

I love how saturated the mask is all the time. Even after applying for 15 minutes, there is always still serum for me to apply on my neck, hands and legs. I usually use this with Bio-essence's 24K Bio-Gold Perfect Brilliance Serum with Bird Nest essence if I wanna pamper my skin. (Bird nest is not cheap ok lol)

9. Cetaphil

When I was pregnant, I was really paranoid about harmful ingredients in my skincare products will be absorbed by my body and pass on to Dylan. As such, I stopped using products that contained retinol and every other stuff.

I couldn't live with just washing my face with water (I used to do this when I was younger!), so I bought my first Cetaphil from Watsons to try.

Turns out, I'm still using it now even after pregnancy because it is very gentle and removes the oily sheen on my face after working the whole day / cooking. I like it that my skin doesn't feel overly dry and taut after wash.

10. Bio-Oil

Last, but definitely not the least. I was introduced to Bio-oil by their PR team, Access Communications. I was rather skeptical with its efficacy initially because the orange and white packaging doesn't attract me at all lol.

And I don't understand why it is so expensive at $16 when it is such a small bottle!

However, when I use it regularly on my eczema, I realized that it really worked wonders for me. You can see pictures of my before and after pictures in my review post. The eczema on my elbow came back slightly (as like day 7) after I stopped applying religiously, but the eczema on my legs are gone... forever. O.O

What scorcery is this!

I'm halfway through my first bottle (you can use it quite a while cuz you don't really need a huge amount), and have given one bottle to Nian's cousin. So far, none of us are having any post-natal stretch marks. :)

This coming year, there are more skincare products that I'd love to try!

Here are some of them:

- Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream
- Loreal Youth Code
- Missha Time Revolution The First Essence
- Enavose Cellogist Revive Night Potion
OMG can't wait to lay my hands on them!
