[Adv] KATE's Eye-Opening Mystic Museum Experience

Saturday, November 05, 2011

This October, KATE released their latest Fall-Winter collection. Focusing on the rich and warm colours like gold and brown, these colours are the most in demand for AW11. Coupled with a mixture of cool colours, the collection is right on trend now.

The range of Wide Edge Eyes 5-shade eye shadow palette in brown, orange-brown, blue, lilac and pink

These Wide Edge Eyes is the star product of this year's Fall-Winter collection. If you'd seen the bottom part of the eyeshadow palette (the eye base), it is actually KATE's unique eye-widening control pearl powder to give you the additional "pump" to your eyes, making it naturally bigger.

I also appreciate that the pearl powder is non-glittery, giving it a natural look without looking too scary when used in the day.

The highlights, on the other hand, is slightly glittery. I think it will be very useful for a dinner date because it's dynamic, but not overpowering.

And of course, all the colours in the palette are very highly pigmented so you don't really need to apply a lot. :D

I also had a make-over session that day, using all the products from KATE's Fall-Winter collection:

- The Mineral Loose Foundation (Retailing at $29. Comes in shades A, B, C and D. I use a D, which is the darkest.)
- Eye Liner Pencil RT (Retailing at $20.50) works like pencil eyeliner but is as dark as a liquid liner! Doesn't fade easily as well.
- Rouge High Glam (Retailing at $23.50) available in 15 different colours.

The Mascara Base AA that the make up artist was using on me is also one of KATE's Fall-Winter collection. Unlike the regular white-fibre base, this mascara base contains black lash-like fibres in a semi-transparent solution that adhere and blend well with the eyelashes. No more whitish specks on your lashes when you don't paint them black properly!

Other KATE products that were on my face were KATE's concealer (which also acts well as a eyeshadow primer), Eyebrow "pencil" (actually in palette form, with three different shades) and...

KATE's Eyeliner FR ($19): a three-point brush tip eyeliner that can fill the spaces between lashes with its brush tip design. I'd say this is very useful for girls who wear false lashes. No more empty spaces between your lashes and your lash line!

My final look after the make over, with Huiting. My eyes were so intense I scared myself a bit!

Many thanks to my make up artist and KATE's products. My skin never looked this flawless before! :D

The latest KATE collections will be available from November 2011 at selected BHG, Guardian Pharmacy, OG, John Little, Metro, Nishino Pharmacy, Sasa Cosmetics and Watsons.
