[Adv] Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil Review

Thursday, November 24, 2011

A month back, the kind people from Fancl gave me one of my most anticipated make-up remover - the well-raved Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil (MCO). Very excitedly, I came back home and gave it a try for over the month.

At $33 for 120ml, I would say that the Fancl MCO is rather affordable. It doesn't contain any preservatives, neither are there any fragrances, mineral oil and other additives, this product is very suitable for sensitive skin.

First time buyers may also be rather pleased with the innovative way of opening the Fancl MCO - there would be no more vain efforts to pry open the box, all you need to do is to pull open the tag and it'll reveal not only the product, but also an extensive explanation of the product!

And of course, I'm always very appreciative of pump bottles because it makes cleaning so much more efficient as compared to squeeze tubes or bottles where I had to shake and shake, and shake. -__-

Now, let's try out its efficacy!

Here are a list of make up I usually have on my face. From eyeliner to BB Cream to lipstick, I also have Za's compact powder (not pictured) on my face most of the time.

The Fancl MCO contains several active ingredients that makes it such a popular cleansing oil. They are: Meadow Foam Oil – Dissolves dirt and removes keratin plugs which clogs up skin pores
Green Tea Catechin Oil – An antioxidant that combats free radicals on skin surface
Rosehip Oil – Anti-inflammatory and facilitates smooth application with minimal friction involved

I used merely one squirt of the MCO, which comes up to about the size of a 50 cent coin. Rub gently over the cosmetic products...

And you'd realize that most products are cleaned off really easily, except for the Kate eyeliner, which holds really well!

When you run your skin under water, you'd realize that the cleansing oil emulsifies really easily - it washes off just like soap, with no oily residues AT ALL.

So here it is, after removing the cosmetics off my hand. Most of the make up is removed, with a slight residue from the Kate eyeliner.

Talking about stubborn eyeliners like Kate, you can actually massage the area slightly longer with the MCO as compared to other make up. It will gradually be broken down, just like any other cosmetics. Let me know if it works for you!
