I was really looking forward to the Deepavali holiday because the last time we had a public holiday was in August wtf. SG seriously needs to have more public holidays - like how is TWELVE out of 365 days enough?? T__T

Anyway, just for the fun of it, India has the most number of public holidays at frickin' 63 days a year. There are like 52 weeks in a year, so you work 5 x 52 weeks = 260 days. Minus the crazy number of public holidays, these people only work 197 days in a year!!

Divided by 30 days (on average per month), they only work for 6 months, with the other 6 months off.

Even our neighbour in the north has like 44 state and national public holidays!

Sucks to be in Australia though, I think they only have about 8 days of public holidays FTL.

Anyyyyyways, Nian and I spent our much-anticipated 1/12 public holiday out and about in town. :D

Wore Hocuspocusing's Paperbag MIDI Skirt (also one of the items featured in the photoshoot post this coming weekend!). Love these midi skirts - it works like the ever popular maxi dresses, except that I get to change what's at the top to have different looks every time. :D

We decided to eat at Chili's in Tanglin Mall, finally. I've been there a couple of times and I've always wanted Nian to try their ribs, but we never had the chance because it was either him too busy, or it was too out of the way for us to head down.

Ordered the Bottomless Chips for the two of us and it was a bad move la seriously. We didn't even manage to finish one serving and we were busted!!! I'd recommend this Bottomless Chips for a huge, hungry group though - very worth the money. For $8, they'd refill your plate until you get tired of nachos chips!

Got him to try the half rack of ribs in honey BBQ - not too bad, except that some parts are really charred so it was a little bitter. The mashed potatoes were still to die for though!

I had the popular Chicken Chiptole with the yummy garlic toast and cajun fries Nomnomnom. And of course, how can we ever miss the super yummy dessert?

Super sinful, but SUPER DUPER yummeh molten chocolate cake!!! *screams*

Strolled to Taka's Fancl after the hearty lunch to pick up my Mild Cleansing Oil, thanks to Fancl & TSS, of course! :) I was asked to be seated to do a skin analysis.

Oh boy. This skin analysis is scary. Not the test itself, but the anticipation before the sales assistant placed the probes on my face. It's like... finding out if I'd get to the next round of American Idol wtf.

Turns out, my fears were kinda unfounded. My skin is very well hydrated (thank god! all my skincare products!), and clarity is also pretty good. Hehehe. The only problem my skin has is probably pigmentation - which is hereditary.

And I guess the next problem is the stupid pimples that decide to pop up randomly - and one landed on my cheeeeeeeeek. Urgh.

We ended the day with yet another movie. Wanted to catch the Three Musketeers in 3D, or In Time actually, but the timings were pretty late and we wanted to leave town by 7PM. So we ended up watching Brown Sugar 2.

This movie was so bad, I don't even wanna bother going into details. Don't watch it. It's not only a waste of money, it's also a waste of time.

So, when's the next holiday again? Hari Raya Haji? That's just 1 week more?
